Elite testing technology, available for all bodies at Lift

VALD technology is used at the highest levels of professional sport. At LIFT, it's for everyday people. We test where your body is at, then build your training around the evidence, whether you're chasing a running goal, rebuilding after injury or managing a condition.

Book Consult

Test. Understand. Train. Retest.

Our EPs, and many of our PTs, are trained and qualified in VALD's assessment systems. We use four of them in the studio to measure strength, balance, movement and range of motion, then programme from the results rather than guesswork.

ForceDecks force plate testing at LIFT Inner West

Force, power & balance

ForceDecks

Dual force plates that measure how you jump, land, balance and produce force, including left-right differences. Used for everything from ACL rehab benchmarks to sit-to-stand tests for older adults and power tracking for runners.

ForceFrame strength testing at LIFT Inner West

Joint strength

ForceFrame

Measures strength at every major joint, hips, knees, shoulders, neck and more, in repeatable positions. Brilliant for finding imbalances, setting rehab targets and proving you're genuinely stronger than last month.

DynaMo handheld strength and mobility testing at LIFT Inner West

Strength, grip & mobility

DynaMo

A handheld dynamometer for push, pull and grip strength plus joint range of motion. Grip strength alone is one of the best simple markers of healthy ageing, and we can test it in seconds.

Computer screen shows a skeletal overlay on a man exercising on a stationary bike with a Start Session button.

3D movement analysis

HumanTrak

Markerless 3D movement analysis that shows how you actually move, including the compensations you can't feel, like leaning to reach overhead. No suits, no stickers, results in seconds.

VALD in action

Here our client Greg was generous enough to let us capture his testing session. These sessions are designed to find out where you are so that you EP or PT can design a program based on evidence.

Testing for everyone, not just reserved for elite athletes.

Testing and understanding where your body is at shouldn't be reserved for professional athletes. It tells us exactly what you're working with today and how to get better in a way that meets your goals, whether that's getting back to work and life, training within a condition you're managing, or chasing a new PB.

If anything, it's more powerful for the rest of us. Elite athletes use this technology to chase an extra 1%. Because we're each starting from different points in our own fitness journeys, the same data can unlock far more than 1%, and you get to see the progress in black and white.

Every VALD assessment at LIFT is run by trained, qualified staff, and every result feeds straight into your programme. Test, train, retest, improve.
